Ljudska Univerza Radovljica

General information

Ljudska univerza Radovljica, Slovenia is a public organisation which provides adult education in local invironment. It offers formal educational programmes for adults (primary, vocational and secondary education) and non-formal education like different language, general, ICT courses, study circles. One of most successful projects in our organisation is a non-formal programme PLYA (Project learning for young adults) for young adults who drop out of school. They don`t finish school from various reasons and therefore they are at risk of social exclusion and can not compete in a labour market. We motivate them to include back in the school system, finish school and/or get a job. The programme won many awards on a national and EU level. Ljudska univerza Radovljica is also running the project of Lifelong learning week in the local environment. Last but not least, there is so called third age University running in Slovenia and in our organisation there is one part of this University. We organise a lot of educational programmes for senior citizens. One of most popular programmes in Slovenian history in European history. This study group has been running for 12 years already so there is in depth knowledge going on among the participants as well as in the part of methods and approaches in adult education.
