Cesare Manzo’s Gallery was founded in Pescara, on the Adriatic coast, in Italy, in the middle sixties by Cesare Manzo. In 1967 the gallery started its activity with a show about Optical Art and a year after he made another show concerning Poor Art. From 1980 to 1984 the gallerist opened another exhibition space in Milan, showing artworks of artists such as Mendini, Richter e Studio Alchimia. In 2006 he decided to establish a second gallery in Rome with an exhibition group of Benera, Berkhemer, Durham, Fato, Lin, Pistoletto, Prini, Rahm and Sarra. He has always oriented his attention toward national and international artists of contemporary art world. Cesare Manzo is also President of cultural association “Arte Nova – Fuori Uso” and the inventor of the international exhibition “Fuori Uso” that take up different abandoned buildings in the city of Pescara since 1990 with the collaboration of famous and important international critics including Achille Bonito Oliva, Nicolas Bourriaud, Laura Cherubini, Mario Codognato, Giacinto Di Pietrantonio and Teresa Macrì.
